| Description: | A classroom in the underdeveloped north-east of Nigeria, where Christian and Muslim converts lived together with the strong Bachama people who resisted both Christian and Muslim invasion. Children sat on rocks in classrooms and most did not have books or pens. Nevertheless they trekked 2 to 5 miles to attend school, where they sat on rocks on a sandy concrete floor. |
