ARGH!!! In the past two weeks I have developed an infected tooth which will now require a root canal, severely bruised three toes on my left foot, one little piggy of which is likely broken, and to top it off, I have been laid up since Friday with, to put it delicately, GI issues.

The reason I am telling you this is simple. I want someone else to feel sorry for me besides me :)

Hope you all are keeping healthy, and a word of advice - when you are in your bare feet, keep an eye out for rogue bookshelves!

The retirement party for my co-worker and friend was last night, and the pendant was a huge success, as was a bracelet commissioned by another department she has been involved with. It is always nerve wracking in that moment before a piece is revealed, and then so rewarding to see the genuine look on the person�s face that shows they love it! As the pendant was passed around the room to oohs and ahs, and everyone took a look at the bracelet which she immediately put on, I had such a feeling of relief! Afterwards, several people that have not seen my work before approached me for business cards, and there was nothing but positive feedback, so it was a successful evening all around.

Nancy, my friend, I wish you a long and happy retirement. You are the true definition of a "Dame", and I will miss you being on the other side of my wall!

So, just for the record...it turns out just because I could build a light box for picture taking does NOT mean I can figure out how to take a good picture with it.

But...I will keep on trying. And trying. And trying. Thank you universe for digital cameras :)

For those who read my most recent blog about Christmas being officially over....I am not sure where all those question marks instead of apostrophes came from, but I have fixed it. And in answer to the question....yes I WAS sober, I swear it did not look like that when I posted it :)
