This has been a pretty rough year for me, in a lot of ways. One of the biggest struggles is the balance between the day job, and the creative side, and more often than not this year the day job has taken over.

On Sunday I spent a great couple of hours at Joye Designs Stone Art Gallery, with the owner, Joye of course :) Joye has carried my jewellery for several years now, and has been a great supporter of my work. It was such a release to just sit and shoot the bull, laugh, focus on something other than the day job! As I pulled item after item out of my carrying case, it was a good reminder to me that I actually HAVE accomplished a lot, and that there is still creativity and skill in my hands. Spending a few hours with a fellow artist refreshed my spirit, and helped "lift the fog" so much. I left there feeling better than I have in a long while, so thank you Joye!

And now, to try to hold onto that feeling as the day job creeps back in....
