Setting up Google Analytics for your site Filed under: Traffic+Analysis Tags: Selling+Online Google+Analytics This blog deals with the steps you need to take to set up Google Analytics for your MyArtClub.Com website.
To start with you need to open an account with Google, then sign up for Google Analytics. With one simple code, you can set up this sophisticated tracking tool on all your MyArtClub.Com web pages.
So let's get started.
If you don't already have one, set up a Google account at www.Google.com/analytics - this is a free account. Click on 'Access Analytics' (the big blue button on the right).
Sign up for a Google Account
If you don't have an account, click on the link Create an account now. Then when you have finished creating your account, come back to this page and sign in with your Google Account.
Sign up for Google Analytics
Once you have signed up, click on the button "Sign Up" on the left side at the bottom of the page in the box "Sign Up for Google Analytics".
Enter your web address of your site. This should be your personal URL i.e. www.yourname.com or whatever you have picked as your site URL. Answer the other questions i.e. site name, time zone and country and click continue.
Enter your name on the next page and click continue.
Agree to the terms and conditions by selecting the checkbox and click on the "Create New Account" button.
On the next screen just click the "Save and Finish" Button at the bottom of the page. You don't need to copy any code to your website, that has all been looked after by MyArtClub.Com
Write down your Google Analytics Tracking Code
On the next screen you will see the "Overview" screen. Write down the number beside your website address i.e. UA-xxxxxxxx-1.
Enter your Google Analytics Tracking Code in MyArtClub.Com

At the bottom of the menu, click on the link "Google Analytics Tracking Code".
Enter the UA code you wrote down from your Google Analytics account site. Click the grey button "Upload Google Tracking Code". You're done.

After at least two days, log back in to your Google Analytics account and see the data collected. Click on "View Report". Come back here after a month and each month to see your statistics!
